About ASDC

The Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC) is the first sector skill council of India, promoted by the Automobile industry through Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA) and Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA) and Government of India represented by Department of Heavy Industry and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). ASDC was incorporated as a society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 in March 2011.

Certification for Loading and Unloading Executive

    Individuals at this job need to safely load and unload different vehicles, parts, assemblies, components etc. internally to various departments of a manufacturing process and on to the vehicles for dispatch based on requirements. This job requires the individual to coordinate with stores, shop floor, dispatch and other departments for carrying out his day to day loading and unloading activities. The individual should also be able to demonstrate skills for information ordering, oral expression and comprehension. He should have sound health to withstand long hours of duty and the strenuous conditions associated with material handling tasks.

Certification for Customer Relation Executive

    Customer Relationship Executive is also known as Telecaller, Customer Care Executive, etc. A Customer Relationship Executive is responsible for assisting and supporting sales function through telemarketing, activities such as generating sales prospects or leads through telemarketing, customer experience at the dealership showroom and supporting in their follow-ups. They are also responsible for supporting the service function through follow-up calls for after-sales service. An individual on this job must have good communication and interpersonal skills along with a pleasing personality to attend to all sorts of enquiries from the customers. The individual must be patient and should have good listening ability.

Certification for Parts Picker

    Individuals at this job need to issue different parts and assemblies according to production and shipping schedules picking these up from Stores/ warehouse. Parts Picker is also known as parts executive, store/warehouse executive/assistant. The individual on this job should be able to demonstrate skills for information ordering, analytical reasoning and clarity of thought, oral expression and comprehension. They should have sense of time management and respect the organizational schedule commitments.

Certification for Showroom Hostess

    Showroom Hostess / Host are also known as a front office executive, showroom co-ordinator and showroom receptionist and greeter. A Showroom Hostess / Host is responsible for handling the front office work. The individual attends to the customers and coordinates response to their queries. The individual must be patient and good listening ability and highly customer centric attitude is highly desirable to understand various requirements and tackle the irate customers.

Certification for Telecaller

    Telecaller is also known as Telecalling officer, Customer calling executive, etc. A Telecaller is responsible for making cold calls to the customer and supporting sales to generate sales leads (telemarketing activities) and also support follow-up calls to support both sales and service activities . The individual on this job must have good interpersonal skills along with a pleasing personality to attend all sorts of enquiries from the customers. The individual should depict customer centricity in daily behaviour and should be able to talk and convince customers. The individual must be patient and good listening ability and customer centric attitude is highly desirable to understand various requirements and tackle the irate customers.

Certification for Commercial Driver

    Commercial vehicle driver is expected to drive a commercial vehicle including Bus driver, Truck Driver, LCV, pickup trucks, bus, taxi, school van, transport vehicles and ensuring safety of Passengers/goods as well as public on the road. This role requires the individual to possess relevant technical skills to handle most of the routine break downs that could likely be encountered while driving long distances and through difficult terrains. The individual is also expected to achieve other key performance parameters like fuel efficiency, on time delivery etc. This job requires the individual to drive for long hours under tiring and demanding physical and traffic conditions. Individual must be dependable and able to take responsibility for the assets (vehicle, goods) and passengers. The individual should be able to communicate effectively as he needs to deal with a variety of people every day.
